Lamita Kinchloe was born and raised in Detroit, MI. She wanted
to become a school teacher since the first grade. Lamita has a
Bachelor of Arts in teaching 6-12 English Education and a Master
of Arts in Teaching Reading and Language Arts. She also obtained
a K-12 Reading Specialist certification.

Preparing for Online Education
Lamita’s first book, Who Has Eyes to See?, has been in the making
for 26 years. In the beginning, she never intended on sharing her
poems because they were her personal notes. She read
them for enjoyment and peace. Eventually, after accumulating so many poems, Lamita began to write for an audience. She thought it would be nice to publish her work for others to enjoy as well.
Her second book, Preparing for Online Education, took a step of faith because it was more difficult to write informational text. She was inspired to write this book after she saw so many of her students struggling with online classes. Her hope is to help anyone taking online classes.
